Brownsea island in Poole Harbour- I really want to live there!

We had arrived in the Solent. Problem was, we were now so late that we had lost our berth in Southampton. We couldn't stay in Lymington as everywhere was full and had a 2-year waiting list. So we needed to find somewhere to keep her for the winter. Luckily, we made a trip to the Southampton Boat show and found a great offer in Poole Town Quay from October to the End of March.
We signed up to that and now we had to get her there.

We left Lymington at 12.25 and despite the appalling visibility we made good progress. It was more mist than fog, so at least we could see big ships or land to avoid.

We entered Poole channel at 1530, by which time the day had improved greatly and we moored up in Poole Town Quay marina at 1605. Miss Moneypenny had found her home for the winter.

We were obviously living on board, so our first problem was car parking- the marina didnt have any. But we worked our way around that and the may other little issues which arose and stayed there till spring 2006. At that point we took her out of the water and did a big refit- see www.concretefloats.com for more details.
